In high school, I took a digital design class, where we had the opportunity of designing our own set of poker cards. I found it a creative way to express my creativity. Back then, my cards had a Batman villain theme (The Joker = joker card). While I really enjoyed designing those face cards, I made up a whole new set of suit icons, making the cards less usable for actual play. This time, I decided to simplify my design. Even more, I wanted to make a glowing, minimalist set of cards that makes any card player feel sophisticated and modern. Of course, I had to choose a purple-yellow color scheme for my favorite basketball team, the Lakers :).
